Since 2000, Dutch designer Susan Bijl works as an independent artist. After her studies in Fashion and Audio Visual Design at the Willem de Kooning School of Arts in her hometown Rotterdam, Susan created The New Shoppingbag. The basis of The New Shoppingbags' success lies in its simplicity and its functionality. The bags are entirely made of coated nylon (the fabric used in kites) and in remarkable colour combinations. The bags are light, water-repellent, super strong and available in two sizes, small 54 x 27 cm and large 60 x 37cm.
