The inspiration from classic, hand painted Royal Copenhagen decorations is apparent on the Alphabet 33 cl high handle mug decorated in the letter ‘K’. On on side of the Mug, a stylized palmetto and chrysanthemum are hand painted onto the white flutes, just like the elegant letter. The inspiration for the Alphabet Collection was found in Royal Copenhagen's vast catalogue of hand painted decorations and classic collections. Lovingly painted by hand, each piece in the collection makes for a unique gift item with a personal significance for a special loved one.

The Three Waves
Proposed as The Royal Danish Porcelain Factory trademark in 1775 by Queen dowager Juliane Marie, every piece of Royal Copenhagen porcelain is instantly recognised by the three blue waves on its underside symbolising the Sound, the Great Belt and the Little Belt - the three main waterways of Denmark.
The delicate decoration of the hand painted porcelain is comparable to the painter own signature and like any other piece of art, Royal Copenhagen skilled blue painters leave their signatureon the underside of every piece of porcelain.
