The CandlestickMaker, a "relative" of the VaseMaker, is a processed fragment. Born from a dissection of a basic candlestick structure, it is a fragment that has left behind its supporting leg. It reinvents itself each time it is combined with a new supporting object which functions as the missing limb. Designfenzider's hybrid objects combine material wit with aesthetic play; they sit on the fat, delicious line between the abstract and the functional. Designfenzider's collection vary from one-off to limited editions and production pieces. The products have no "expiration date" and many reside in both public and private collections worldwide.
